Kevin is S3 Consultants LLC’s Chief Safety Officer and Alaska Lead.  Kevin heads our corporate SMS and oversees the implementation of our safety programs. Specifically, he directs our Internal Safety Audit & Evaluation program, workplace safety compliance programs. Kevin also heads our aviation advisory services for 14 CFR Part 5.

Kevin is a subject matter expert in the four pillars of the aviation Safety Management System (SMS), and provides clients with clear, independent, and objective value-added results from an industry-focused perspective while still ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry best practices.  

Kevin is a retired Naval Aviation, flying A-4s. 

• Kevin has led the implementation of the SMS Voluntary program twice, once for Part 135 and then the Corporate SMS program. He’s only one of only a handful of small aviation service providers to complete the program. 
• Over 13 additional years of tactical experience with aviation safety program management within the military contractor industry (contractors authorized to accompany the force). Countries include Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Philippines, and Uganda, plus a few others. 
• In Afghanistan, the Aviation Safety Program enabled an accident-free environment during passenger and cargo operations. resulting in safely moving a million passengers and over 50 million pounds of baggage, cargo and mail.  
• 2 years of experience managing an SMS under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Voluntary SMS Program for Parts 133, 135, 137 and 145.
